I had the pleasure of visiting Casa Vinicola D'Angelo with my family and the experience was truly beautiful. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Erminia, the owner of the company, who showed us with professionalism and passion the various stages of wine production up to the aging in oak barrels. It was really interesting to learn about the different processes and better understand the company philosophy, which always has "one look to the past and one to the future". During the tasting of the three wines, Erminia answered all our questions and shared with us curiosities and details about this world. The love and commitment of the entire D'Angelo family is palpable and made the visit even more special. I can't wait to go back!

We booked a basic tasting with 3 wines. Erminia D'Angelo welcomed us with empathy and passion right from the start, showing us and telling us the story of the winery and their excellent wines. We will gladly return with friends.

Well worth the visit for a slice of local history and winemaking. We stopped by Rionero di Vulture for lunch in-between Sorrento and Matera at the last minute. Despite not having a prior booking, Erminia was kind enough to arrange an impromptu tour and mini wine tasting session for us. The 2017 Caselle and 2021 Canneto were both excellent, and would be perfect for a wine dinner. Highly recommended, but definitely plan and book ahead for a proper wine tasting with local foods on the side.

The rich volcanic soil, its minerals, are in every thing that grows in the Vulture Melfese, and in turn in the blood of the people from there. You can feel that intense connection, that magnetism, like you are being pulled back to the earth, if you are lucky enough to set foot there. Thus, with every sip of Casa Vinicola D'Angelo wine you almost feel transported, and become a little bit more Lucano with every glass. I think it's one of the world's most underrated wines and I look forward to adding the latest vintage to my collection every chance I get.
