La cantina si trova a Creta, l'isola più grande della Grecia, nel cuore della regione vinicola di Dafnes, che è stata istituita come zona di denominazione per i vini a Denominazione di Origine Protetta (DAFNES DOP).

L'isola vanta una lunga e ininterrotta tradizione di viticoltura e produzione di vino, iniziata 4.000 anni fa.

La tradizione e la storia della famiglia Douloufakis nella viticoltura e nella produzione di vino hanno avuto inizio nel 1930, quando il nonno Dimitris Douloufakis avviò per la prima volta la produzione vinicola professionale in antichi locali tradizionali. Nel 1952 la famiglia Douloufakis partecipò alla 17a Fiera Internazionale di Salonicco e ottenne un riconoscimento per la qualità dei suoi prodotti.

Oggigiorno, Nikos Douloufakis, viticoltore di terza generazione, continua la tradizione vinicola.

"Sono la terza generazione di viticoltori, sulle orme di mio nonno e di mio padre. Per me il vino è molto più di una semplice parola. È la mia professione, il mio hobby, il mio piacere. Appassionato di vino, faccio parte di una tradizione e di una cultura che in questo luogo ha più di quattromila anni."

A magic Little Place run by honest and passionate people. fantastic variety and quality of wine. The wine tasting has been a very good experience to savour the flavours of the Crete produce. the knowledgeable staff will guide through history and gastronomy. They will leave you plenty of time to taste each wine with plenty of explanations of the wine characteristics and background.

We came for a wine tasting; there was a short and interesting tour of the production facilities, and then we were able to sample two white wines, a rosé, and two red wines. The service was incredibly friendly, and they served delicious homemade snacks. Highly recommended!

This wine tasting is a must if you are in Crete. First, you will take a guided tour with an explanation of the winemaking process, with a glass of wine in hand. We booked the tasting in the vineyards. You will be taken to the winery where you will receive six tastings with cheese, bread, and water. The explanation from the owner's son was very interesting, and you will also learn how to taste wine correctly and what flavors can be extracted from it. The view was definitely a plus.

A magnificent visit and tasting at the vineyard! A unique experience with professionals who share their passion even before the harvest, the most stressful time. We truly appreciate this moment.
