Tenuta Vignanova

Tenuta Vignanova is a farm founded in 2021 by Riccardo and his family, residents of Veneto but with southern roots. The estate is located in Moio della Civitella, in the province of Salerno, in the Cilento area. The name "Vignanova" is the result of the fusion of "vigna" and "nuova". In fact, we fell in love with an old, now abandoned vineyard and gave it a new life.

The idea of giving life to this project comes from the desire to combine the love for our land and our vision of innovation and openness. Furthermore, the identity of our land and our community were the driving force behind the creation of our project. Moio della Civitella, in fact, has always been linked to wine production; our ancestors were all wine producers, our origins are based entirely on wine production.

Tenuta Vignanova focuses mainly on the production of wine. Lo Scamillotto is our firstborn, a pure Aglianico that best expresses the bond with the territory. The name chosen is a memory of a dear friend, a dedication to keep his memory alive.

We are also working to create our first Fiano, which will be bottled at the beginning of the new year.

Our company also produces olive oil; our olive grove, also located in Moio della Civitella, allows us to produce oils from the Frantoio, Salella, Pendolino and Rotondella cultivars, cultivars that have found an ideal home in our territory both for soil and microclimate. Currently our plant extends over a surface of almost seven thousand square meters and hosts about three hundred plants grown with the polyconic vase technique.
We are working to convert our olive production entirely into organic. Our harvests are done mechanically and the milling is done on the same day of the harvest in order to have the highest quality and avoid alterations of the fruit after the harvest.

Tenuta Vignanova launched a unique project in the Cilento area in 2023, and it is one of the first in the Campania region: “Adopt a row”. The adoption project is dedicated to viticulture enthusiasts and also to those who want to approach the culture of wine for the first time. The most interesting aspect is being able to follow the developments in the salient stages of production through our newsletter, and to participate in person in the experiences in the vineyard, from pruning to the Harvest Festival.

Adopters are periodically updated via email on the progress of their row through a periodic report, known as “The Winemaker’s Diary”.
Once these phases are completed, after 12 months, Tenuta Vignanova will pay homage to its adopters with a case containing 6 bottles of wine, which will be delivered directly to their homes.

By adopting a row, supporters can directly observe the cultivation of the vines and the sustainable techniques used, becoming an integral part of the growth of the vineyard and the project itself. To date we can count about 200 adopters not only from Italy, but also from various countries in Europe and the world.

The creation of this project has allowed us to make our Estate and our wine known not only in the surrounding area, but also abroad and this can only make us proud.
