Founded in 1997 in the picturesque Villány region, the Malatinszky Estate is the brainchild of Csaba Malatinszky, who conducted extensive research before establishing the winery. Since 2009, the estate has adopted organic farming practices, ensuring that all Kúria wines are bio-certified. This commitment reflects a dedication to both quality and sustainability in winemaking.

A Mission of Noble Hungarian Wine

Csaba Malatinszky aims to revive the tradition of noble Hungarian wines, focusing on innovation and a philosophical approach rather than conventional business strategies. His efforts to promote Cabernet Franc in the Villány wine region have garnered international acclaim, with endorsements from wine experts like Carolyn Gilby of Decanter.

Among Malatinszky's notable achievements is the presentation of Monsieur Cabernet Franc at a prestigious London wine gala attended by royalty. In 2018, he received the French Grand Prix for Innovation for a groundbreaking winemaking process. The Maghari 2015 Cabernet Franc was awarded an impressive 95+ points, making it one of the highest-rated wines globally. The estate also produces solar wines, including the Serena 2009, recognized as Best Old World White by Decanter, and Noblesse Chardonnay 2009, named Best Chardonnay of Central Europe.
