Etruscaia was founded in 2008 with the decision to allocate the fruits of many years of amateur work in the production of wine grapes and selective vinification aimed at the pursuit of excellence in the production of white, red, and rosé wines obtainable from the various vines present in the own land.
The selective micro-vinification have allowed the identification and production choice of red wines such as Syrah and a blend based on Sangiovese, a rosé wine obtained from the white vinification of Montepulciano grapes and white wines such as Malvasia and Viognier on which production destined for the market has been set up starting from the 2015 harvest.
The vineyards of Etruscaia, are the result of an experimental project carried out in collaboration with the University of Pisa which planted various clones of wine grapes, both white and red, and analyzed the individual specificities of each clone both in the vegetative yield.
The luxuriant harvest of the year 2004 gave unequivocal proofs of the extraordinary potential of the land both for the production capacity and for the high quality of enological yield of some of the vines planted.
The Etruscaia cellar could only be a tribute to the Etruscan history and in particular to the architectural model adopted by these incredible people in terms of life after death. A dromos of local stones gives access to the underground structure where the magic of winemaking takes place in a naturally ideal environment for processing grapes. Tuff walls, architectural details in wrought iron and a bench of grass overlooking the cellar do the rest. Modern approaches, mixed with centuries-old tradition and techniques, allow them to produce wines that fully reflect the territory and the peculiar characteristics of each variety.

Our visit with Stefano, the owner and host, turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. Stefano was incredibly welcoming and easy to communicate with via WhatsApp, where we quickly arranged our visit. He prepared a delicious, homemade light lunch paired with exquisite wines. The fresh vegetables from the garden were the star ingredients in every dish—an absolute delight after five days of Italian cuisine without fresh greens. Stefano took his time to give us a detailed tour, explaining organic wine production and sharing insights about the local area. He went above and beyond by providing us with local tips on other places to eat and visit, adding even more value to our to our experience. We highly recommend to visit Etruscaia to anyone visiting the area!

Amazing and beautiful experience! Definitely a must do. Stefano’s love for what he does translated in everything he does. He cooked for us which was one of the best meals ever. The way he spoke about the wines and his winery was with such passion and love. I thoroughly enjoyed it there. Thx Stefano

Stefano made our vacation (and even saved it with all his great local tips and referrals)! We truly dined and were pampered by him. He beautifully paired his gorgeous organic wines with equally gorgeous organic food. This private wine pairing over lunch and intimate setting was a real treat for my husband and I. Every mouthful was so good…seemingly simple menu but we know better to think we could ever recreate it the same. Produce was from his own garden too! He shared his knowledge and passion with us about his vineyards and wine making process and his local knowledge and tips were truly helpful to us. August in Italy would never be my first choice but our plans were immovable and Stefano helped us really have a terrific experience with him and in his extended community. We’ll certainly be taking his fine wines and fabulous memories back with us thanks to his fantastic hospitality. Don’t hesitate. Book this experience!

Excellent structure for events, surrounded by vineyards and very well-kept lawns. From an oenological point of view, the offer is varied and of an excellent level: white, red and rosé wines absolutely up to the task, to be tasted
