Our winery is located within the medieval village of Castello di Torre in Pietra, where the existence of vineyards has been documented since the 16th century, when the estate belonged to the Peretti family of Pope Sixtus V.

The winery itself was created by excavating into the tuff hill behind the Castle and was already being used in the 1500s for the production and storage of wine.

Today, Osteria dell'Elefante is the latest project completing the activities of the winery and our organic farm. The idea is to offer our wines paired with the ingredients and cuisine of the Roman countryside.

We use products from our own farm, as well as ingredients sourced from other organic farmers and producers throughout Lazio.

Our experiences allow guests to discover the native grape varieties of Lazio and learn more about our winemaking traditions. We organize tastings among the wine barrels, where we introduce our wines and offer guests the opportunity to taste our organic wines directly in the historic cellar.

The tastings are accompanied by a selection of local gastronomic products, creating an authentic experience that combines wine, food, history, and the traditions of the Roman countryside.
