We booked a tour and tasting with my family, a group of 5, and it was amazing. The attention to detail, patience to answer all our questions and sincere love for the job made it one of our favorite activities on our trip. Would definitely recommend!

Don't miss this experience if you are anywhere near Mortagua! I had a couple of my best friends visiting me in Portugal to celebrate our milestone birthday and thought that this would be a good way to spend some time. I wasn't wrong! We opted for the Quinta da Giesta experience with the option of additional meats and cheeses to accompany, and it was fantastic! (I do recommend requesting the cheese and meats platter when you call to book- it really adds to the experience for a very low extra cost). They accommodated my vegetarian friend by putting the meats and cheeses on separate platters. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Dora, our host and guide was warm and welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. Her enthusiasm for and pride in the company was evident from the start. She answered all of our questions and gave us a really informative (but not too lengthy) tour of the site. (I've known things like this to drag on a bit when you really want to get on with the wine tasting!) We tried 2 whites, a rose and 2 reds. All absolutely delicious. Dora was so accommodating to our party of 3 not-so-serious wine tasters and was as generous with the tastings as she was with her time, and when my husband came to pick us up, we left considerably more rosy and jolly than when we arrived... All in all, an absolutely unforgettable experience, and one that we will always treasure. Thank you so much, Dora. I will recommend you everywhere! P.S. There are several experiences you can try- One of them includes tasting 3 single-varietal wines and create your own blend. You then bottle your wine, design your label and take it home with you. Something to add to the bucket list!
