Welcome to Bodega Otazu, a Renowned Pago Winery

Situated near Pamplona, just 60 km from the Cantabrian Sea and 35 km from the Pyrenees, Bodega Otazu is nestled in a picturesque valley along the river Arga, surrounded by the Sierra del Perdón and Sierra del Sarbil. This winery is the northernmost vineyard in Spain to hold the prestigious Pago Appellation of Origin. Established in 1840, Bodega Otazu was the first French-style winery built in Navarra, set apart as a single-estate vineyard. The historic building has been transformed into a wine museum and art center, showcasing works from acclaimed international artists, and has received the “A” Prize by ARCO 2020. In 2020, Bodega Otazu was recognized as “The Best Winery Open to Tourism in Spain” by ACEVIN.

Architectural Marvel: The Wine Cathedral

Bodega Otazu features a stunning underground barrel cellar, famously known as the “Wine Cathedral.” The winery's philosophy centers on crafting premium wines that reflect the unique terroir of its 90-hectare estate. The wine selection includes grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Berués, all sourced from this single vineyard.

Bodega Otazu is one of only 25 wineries in Spain to receive the highest certification, the Pago Appellation of Origin, ensuring the exceptional quality and distinct character of its wines.

A Memorable Wine Experience Awaits

Otazu is a very interesting and surprising winery. For three hours we visited the different parts of the winery and its spectacular works of art and also enjoyed some very good wines. All with a great guide service from Carlos, who clearly enjoys his work and knows perfectly all the details about the winery. A pleasure to enjoy contemporary works and their explanation.

The best experience, 100% recommended and even more thanks to our guide Luján, she is the most professional and adds a lot to the experience. The wine is sensational and the art is good, I don't have the words to describe what my eyes saw. I definitely want to come back, thank you very much!!!

Spectacular experience, highly recommended to visit and even better if it is with Carlos, excellent guide, he really enjoyed it while he tells you the history of the winery, which is completely full of contemporary art. The tasting was super delicious and the wines were crazy. I would go back a thousand times more.
