Bodegas Ochoa is a family-run winery established in 1845. The winery is situated in Olite, to the south of Pamplona in Spain. The winery has been handed down through generations in the Ochoa Family and currently, the fifth and sixth generation run all winemaking practices.
Grapes are grown organically at Bodegas Ochoa Winery with respect to nature and with the aspiration to produce sustainable, high quality wines.
145 Hectares of Land are Dedicated to Vineyards at the Winery
Bodegas Ochoa Winery owns a large area of land for vine and olive tree cultivation. About 145 hectares are dedicated to vineyards where they cultivate their high quality grapes. Since 2015, the winery has been working to convert all their vineyards and production methods to organic processes. They believe that grapes are grown organically and with respect to nature are important for sustainability as well as higher quality wines. In Bodegas Ochoa’s vineyards, Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha, Moscatel, Viura, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Viognier are grown.

All grapes are processed in Bodegas Ochoa’s beautiful cellar to create exceptional wines. They use naturally occurring yeasts found in their vineyards in the winemaking process which have been isolated in the lab at the winery. They are proud of their research and development process, which was one of the first in the region. They produce red, white, rosé, dessert and sparkling wines in the winery which are popular not just in Spain but also all over the world.Bodegas Ochoa is extremely motivated to produce the best wines using the mixed traditional methods and modern technologies. They stand by their history, methods, and their wines and a visit to this winery is always an enlightening experience.
