In 1945, Julio Ramírez de la Piscina started cultivating the family vineyards and produced the traditional Rioja wine. 1973 was the founding year of the Bodegas Ramirez. Julio’s children, Julio, Cecilio, and Pilar took over the winery in 1980. In 1987, the name, Bodegas Ramirez de la Piscina was given to the coveted wine. The winery in its current state was set up in 2001 and has modern features and uses the latest technologies to produce the best wine. It started in Spain, but now it also operates in international markets, including the USA, UK, Japan, etc.
