The winery's roots trace back to 1945 when Julio Ramírez de la Piscina began cultivating family vineyards to create traditional Rioja wines. In 1973, the family established their own winemaking facility, leading to the birth of Bodegas Ramirez. By 1980, Julio's children—Julio, Cecilio, and Pilar—took the reins, and in 1987, the winery adopted its current name. The facility was modernized in 2001, incorporating the latest technologies to enhance wine production. Initially focused on the Spanish market, Bodegas Ramirez de la Piscina now exports its wines to various international markets, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan.
