How It All Began

Aradon, a once-thriving village during Roman times, has faded into history, leaving behind a rich legacy. Nestled on a plateau called “La Mesa” (The Table) at an elevation of 550 meters, this area is now home to vineyards that are nearly 90 years old. The village was strategically located near ancient Roman roads and the impressive aqueduct “Puente Moros,” built in the 1st and 2nd centuries A.D. Since 1957, the vinegrowers of Alcanadre, located 36 kilometers east of Logroño, have honored Aradon by naming their wines after this historic site. These wines are crafted from grapes sourced from traditional vineyards, cultivated with care and expertise passed down through generations.

Wines with a Purpose

Bodegas Aradón is dedicated to producing small-farmer wines that support sustainable rural development. By prioritizing fair trade practices, the winery helps maintain the local economy and encourages population stability in the villages. Each bottle reflects the commitment of the farmers who nurture the vines, ensuring that every sip contributes to the well-being of the community and the preservation of the region's winemaking heritage.
