Experience the Essence of Rioja Wines
How It All Began
Aradon, a once-thriving village during Roman times, has faded into history, leaving behind a rich legacy. Nestled on a plateau called “La Mesa” (The Table) at an elevation of 550 meters, this area is now home to vineyards that are nearly 90 years old. The village was strategically located near ancient Roman roads and the impressive aqueduct “Puente Moros,” built in the 1st and 2nd centuries A.D. Since 1957, the vinegrowers of Alcanadre, located 36 kilometers east of Logroño, have honored Aradon by naming their wines after this historic site. These wines are crafted from grapes sourced from traditional vineyards, cultivated with care and expertise passed down through generations.
