Bodegas Sers is named after Sers
The name Bodegas Sers is ideal for the winery because Sers means a north wind. It is a north-easterly, cold, and dry wind that affects the lives of plants because they struggle because of the dryness caused by these winds. These winds can be felt throughout the year here but mostly occur during the spring and winter seasons. The cellar only has eight deposits with 100 barrels. The staff is perfectly trained in winemaking and does the job well.
12-Hectare Vineyard in La Morera
The company owns 12 hectares of vineyards in some of the best regions of Somontano, mainly La Morera. Work in the vineyards is done with great respect for the land and nature. The vineyards thrive due to ideal soil, sunlight, rain, winds, and other natural conditions in the Somontano area. Moristel, Parraleta, Syrah, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon are the main grapes grown here. Harvesting is done manually, and the best grapes are used to make red and white wines.
Limited Production at the Winery
Most of the work in the cellar is also done through hands with a lot of passion and care. They want quality and the essence of nature in each drop of their wines. The company makes six wines: Primer, Singular, Temple, Dinantes, G.R. 18, and Blanque. There is also an old farmhouse, Casa Canales, attached to a Roman chapel. The place is ideal for spending a couple of days and having a great time.
