Modern Wine Cellar, Using French and American Oak

Producing wines for almost 20 years, Bodegas y Viñedos del Jalón was established in 1999 when three wineries dating back to the 1960s joined forces within the DO Calatayud region. The Government of Aragon, along with four Aragonese financial authorities – Ibercaja, CAI, Multicaja, and Cajalón, took part in the development of the estate. Today, the grape growing at Bodegas y Viñedos del Jalón produces high-quality wines and delivers both nationally and internationally. The owners have invested in advanced machinery, stainless steel tanks, modern presses, and French and American oak barrels to enhance the quality of the wines. This attention to every detail is a key part of the succes at Bodegas y Viñedos del Jalón.

Hand-Harvested Grapes for High Quality Wines

Respecting old winemaking traditions, the staff at Bodegas y Viñedos del Jalón cultivates a broad array of grapes throughout the 650 hectares of vineyards, which consists of about 20% of the entire Denomination of Calatayud. They grow Grenache, Syrah, and Tempranillo, along with high-quality Macabeo. All the harvesting processes, from the picking of grapes, transport to the cellar, and initial processing with precision and careful selection of the best bunches. Under the Calatayud DO status, the team produces top-class red and white wines, in combination with luscious rosé wines.
