A Rich Heritage of Winemaking

Bodegas Aragonesas, established in 1984, has roots that trace back to 1145 when Cistercian monks at the nearby Monastery of Veruela cultivated vines, particularly Garnacha, for their own use. This land has been nurtured by generations of the same family, who have worked tirelessly to maximize its potential. The winery's flagship brands, including Fagus, Coto de Hayas, Garnacha Centenario, Galiano, Don Ramón, and Aragonia, have gained international acclaim and numerous awards, showcasing the quality of their wines.

Vibrant Vineyards

The vineyards of Bodegas Aragonesas thrive in red, stony soil, ideal for grape varieties such as Garnacha, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Mazuela, Chardonnay, Macabeo, and Muscat. Covering over 3,700 hectares, these vineyards are a stunning sight, with some vines over 100 years old. The unique terroir, combined with a challenging climate, imparts distinctive qualities and character to the grapes.

A Dedicated Winemaking Team

The passion and expertise of the Bodegas Aragonesas team play a crucial role in crafting their exceptional wines. Utilizing traditional vineyard management techniques, the experienced winemaking team specializes in producing high-quality Garnacha. With a commitment to excellence, they create a diverse range of wines, from organic fruity selections to complex single-vineyard offerings. Their portfolio includes young unaged wines, aged Crianza and Reserva, as well as a variety of white, red, and rosé blends, catering to the preferences of wine enthusiasts around the world.

I bought a few bottles of their 2022 Chardonnay to take back home to the South of France. Really enjoyed it for Côte de Boeuf Lunch. Interesting intensity. Beautiful composition.

Very nice inside, the wines are well presented and the choices are numerous. Especially liking red wine, my choices fell on several of them. To visit for amateurs and lovers of Spanish wines, and for others too...
