The winery lies in the production area of the Verdicchio di Matelica DOC wine where grape growing has been a part of its ancient culture. The winery was established in 2008 and it strives to ensure the highest quality in the wines they produce.
Borgo Paglianetto Vines Nestled in the Gentle Hills of Matelica
The 25 hectares of vineyard of the winery lies on the hills of Matelica in a closed valley. The location has its own microclimate that is ideal for grape cultivation. The winery grows Verdicchio, Sangiovese, Montepulciano and Lacrima grape varieties in their vineyard. The vineyards are organic and follow natural viticulture. The company certifies organic not only in the quality of the grapes but also all the processes of winemaking and in the cellar. Thanks to the ideal microclimate and the organic processes in the field and the cellar, the winery is known for making wines with a solid structure but at the same time, capable of maintaining freshness, depth and balance. Borgo Paglianetto Winery provides a wide range of red, white, dessert and sweet wines that are produced with much care and attention to detail.
