Braastad Cognac

We would like to thank our guide Erik for this very comprehensive and interesting visit. Visit to the cellars, but also to the distillery, this private and intimate visit to the world of this Cognac SME. Without a doubt the best thing we had during our weekend in Cognac.

Once again a fantastic visit to the Braastad distillery. The tour is of interest . Erik is so knowledgeable and makes the visit fun and has time for you. His passion for the product comes through in abundance . I thoroughly recommend anyone looking for a cognac distillery tour to enquire about Braastad in Jarnac. Well worth a visit , tasting very interesting discovering the tastes of the different cognac. Thankyou Erik again for a lovely morning spent in the distillery. Excellent tour with Eric! 11 of us came as a family. He answered all our questions and the tasting was a pleasure too. 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Just FYI: Bring comfortable shoes because you will be on your feet for two hours.

Exciting visit and tasting full of surprises. We chose the “Prestige” formula, to taste older cognacs: no regrets! Our guide, as kind as he was edifying, introduced us to this brandy that we knew too little about. Much more authentic than the “big” houses, here everything is explained from the grape to the bottle, in the places of production. We are ignoring the glitz of marketing to focus on the know-how and the economic life of the region, and so much the better! Exactly what we were looking for.

We did the prestige visit with the tastings. We had a fantastic time. Erik, our guide, is passionate and exciting. We learned a lot about the production of cognac from field to bottle as well as the whole history of cognac and the house. The distillery is magnificent and very impressive, having access to it is also a real plus. I was a little apprehensive about the tasting as I'm not a big fan of simple eaux-de-vie, but I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the different products and even left with some. A big thank you for this wonderful family memory!

We had a first-class tour of this friendly family business, learned a lot of interesting things about the process of cognac production and can appreciate this fine wine even more. The facilities and the know-how are impressive and the tasting was excellent. Highly recommended.

We booked Braadstad because it seemed to still be small enough to appreciate it's family history and care for normal people. When we looked to book for a tour and tasting on winetourism.com it also only hosted small groups ,up to 15 people compared to some of the others up to 60. When we arrived today a Wednesday it was just my wife and I and our host Eric. So a personal tour!! We did a tour ,discovered history and technical info about Cognac, saw the whole process from grape to glass that is all done in house. And of course tasted some awesome cognac and bought some to take home to New Zealand. Highly recommend this place, very special indeed!
