How the Winery came to be
The "Cantina dei Monti" 's owner is a German family, who bought an old farmhouse 25 years ago and they created from there this estate in a small historic village called Monte Rinaldo.
The Winery Story
Cantina dei Monti is a small winery where only high-quality and organic products are made, respecting nature and its biodiversity. harvest is done only by hand and, since 2021, all wines are produced without added sulfur. The winery has an underground cellar built-in 2010 with natural ventilation embedded in 13 hectares of pure nature. The vineyards of 5 hectares have been planted in 2000, 2003, and 2007. In addition to all the well-known varieties such as Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon, and merlot, the owners have also planted two old local varieties: Verdicchio, the historic white wine, well known since the old Romans, and Gallioppo, as the area's most important red wine 100 years ago.
