Villa Pigna Winery, founded in the heart of Italy’s Marche region in 1970 by entrepreneur Costantino Rozzi, stands today as a benchmark of Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore production. Rozzi began acquiring vineyards back in 1968 in Offida and surrounding areas, driven by his deep connection to the land. He built a 7,000 m² winery—partially underground—to ensure natural, climate‑controlled aging year‑round. Since then, Villa Pigna has grown into one of the leading producers in the Piceno area, with an output exceeding 2.5 million bottles annually and distribution reaching prestigious international markets.

The winery remains family‑owned and has maintained a strong commitment to both tradition and innovation. As specialists of Rosso Piceno for over fifty years, their two flagship cuvées—Vellutato (a modern blend of Montepulciano, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Sauvignon) and Rozzano (a classic Montepulciano–Sangiovese formulation)—epitomize their dual approach: honoring heritage while embracing a broader stylistic reach. Their estate also includes higher‑altitude vineyards in Castorano and Offida, where varietals like Passerina, Pecorino, and Sangiovese flourish under hilly, well‑drained terroir, contributing to a diversified and quality‑driven portfolio.
