Located in the picturesque Entre-Deux-Mers region, Château Chillac de Morizès is a medieval castle surrounded by lush vineyards, serene woods, and expansive meadows. This historic site has seen many owners throughout the centuries, with stories passed down through generations. Today, it is lovingly maintained by Christelle, Laurent, and their daughters, Charlotte and Anne. The estate features 50 hectares of vineyards, with each generation planting new vines and enhancing the property.
Château Chillac benefits from diverse soil types, including clay-limestone, sand, and stone, which contribute to the cultivation of exceptional grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, and Muscadelle. The family adheres to biodynamic principles, guided by the philosophy, “Respect your vines, and they will reward you.”
The estate features a beautifully renovated rustic cottage that offers a stylish country ambiance. Guests can enjoy a shaded garden, comfortable lounge areas, deckchairs by the pool, and a large playground equipped with games for children, making it an ideal spot for summer visits. This vineyard combines exquisite wines with quality services, set in a tranquil and picturesque environment. 10 of us had a very good stay in the area. The site is magnificent and the gîte suitable for accommodating a group. We were even able to enjoy a tasting of wines and juices produced by Laurent and Christelle.

Magnificent gîte “N° 5” in the middle of organically farmed vineyards. There were 10 adults of us who met for a family reunion and everyone was able to appreciate the welcome and availability of Laurent and Christelle. The calm of the environment invited us to take beautiful walks around the gîte, and the numerous rest areas in this very well-equipped and pleasantly decorated house provide the opportunity to isolate yourself before meeting up around a large, warm table. A big plus for the bedding, which in everyone's opinion was very appreciated. The outdoor spa, which made everyone happy, and the large television lounge are also part of the charm of the place. Without forgetting the nice welcome basket.

A superb visit and excellent wines, Laurent took the time to explain to us the details of his profession, fascinating! Special mention also for the cottage in an enchanting setting, we will come back :)
