A Rich History

Discover over 600 years of history and commitment in the heart of Tuscany, under the Brunello Di Montalcino appellation. You will find the Castello Tricerchi, a family castle, a gigantic building with a rich family and political history. In fact, the owners of the house were one of the “”9″”, one of the families sitting on the council of Siena in 1290. The construction of the castle began in 1260 and was not finished until 1441 by the Tricerchi family.
The castle, located on the Via Francigena, was once a protective crossroads for happy passers-by. The castle protected pilgrims on their way to Rome via Siena.
Even more surprising is the fact that a fragment of the Virgin’s Veil is located within the castle walls. This fragment has been certified by the Papal Bull and remains in residence at Tricerchi Castle.
The castle is a part of the Italian historical and artistic heritage, a place full of history not to be missed.

Winemaking At Its Best

As for wine, 14 hectares of vineyards located less than 300 metres from the castle are cultivated organically and in accordance with tradition. We will find 7 parcels of vines cultivated under Sangiovese Grosso, Vigna del Castello , Sant’ Anna, del Lago, dei Cipressi and del Piano.
The cellars are located inside the castle to keep the temperature cool. The barrels are located in the prisions of the castle.
The vinification methods are traditional, the grapes are picked by hand, fermented with indigenous yeast allowing the wine to develop all its aromas, the wine is kept in Slavonian oak barrels, the wine is then fully revealed. “
