The Story of Casa Lucii

Casa Lucii is a historic family-run winery located in the hills of San Gimignano, a medieval village in the heart of Tuscany between Siena and Florence. Our production is entirely organic and includes Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Chianti, Chianti Colli Senesi, Toscano Sangiovese, Rosé Toscano and one of the best extra virgin olive oils of Tuscany. The passion for organic farming, which has been certified since 2000, and the care of our ancient origins and extraordinary beauty, accompanied with the constant search for high-quality products, ensure unique and excellent products, which can also be appreciated during guided tours and tastings at the farm. We are waiting for you!

In Humo Virtus

Our motto, in humo virtus, wants to represent the complexity of our work and at the same time its humble origins: In the Earth (resides) Virtue.
In a broader sense, fertile land that brings life or still life that generates life.
The plant residues that fall on the ground are reborn to new life with an organic process called humification carried out by millions of saprophytic bacteria. The newly activated organic substance generates fertility in the soil and allows other herbaceous and tree species to grow luxuriantly.
Understanding this process means respecting the Earth, life, and its complex dynamics. Knowledge of its laws allows us to understand and manage the production processes from sowing to harvesting, from winter pruning of the vineyard to vinification. And more generally, the search for harmony also involves the family, collaborators and all those who gravitate around the company in various ways.

On a Path of Sustainability

We have decided to embark on the path of sustainable agriculture and begin a process of voluntary certification with great environmental, ethical and social value called EQUALITAS. It is a process in continuous evolution, which involves not only Casa Lucii and its staff but also suppliers, all external collaborators and finally the neighborhood!

Idyllic experience. Kind, welcoming and knowledgeable staff. The guy who gave us the tour was very nice and knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. The tasting was very interesting and enjoyable, with wines that are not easy to find elsewhere and simple but tasty food pairings. The price in my opinion is excellent for such an experience. We will definitely return

The most beautiful day of my trip to Italy. 5 stars are not enough to express how much I loved today. The place is so beautiful that it is hard to believe it is real, the reception was warm and extremely friendly. Orlando took us on a tour of the winery and explained in detail about the production of the wines and the olive trees, we were also able to taste the excellent organic wines they produce, accompanied by focaccia, pizza, cheese, cookies and chocolate. It was a spectacular experience. I highly recommend it.

A beautiful experience, you are followed from the beginning to the end by the guys who are very prepared. It was nice to be able to taste their passion that is passed down from generation to generation. I hope to be able to return soon and try the new experiences they have in mind for their customers! Thanks again

We had such a lovely afternoon. Orlando was incredible. So many special little details, from the food presentation, to the flowers on the table, to the farm dog! Wine was delicious. Highly recommend. (Ps the food shown in picture is half eaten and a fraction of what we had - I forgot to photograph!)

We were at the Casa Lucii winery in September, which is the off-season. We were given a private tour and were able to spend a very interesting and enjoyable afternoon here. Wide selection of wines with good snacks! Very friendly staff with a very high level of hospitality!
