Cava Solà Raventós

My absolute favourite Cava winery to bring all of my friends and family to when they are visiting Barcelona. Solà Raventós is just 40min outside of Barcelona by train then a short 10 min walk to the town. Pere and Guifré are the most generous and kind hosts and always make you feel right at home when you visit their winery. They put their heart and soul into their cava, and it shows! Their tour will take you on a historical adventure of the region, giving you deep insights into how Cava is produced, and most of all, how it's enjoyed! Your tour will finish with a generous plate of yummy snacks, and several glasses of delicious Cava. Please, please make time to come here! It's well worth it.

A small family winery with a great product and very good value for money. Highly recommended. Apart from the treatment of the owners, father and son, it is great, which makes the visit and tasting an unmissable visit every time we pass through Sant Sadurní. A great discovery.

Delicious cava, we are regulars at De la Gafa, a Brut Nature Gran Reserva aged for three years. Excellent visit, perfectly guided by Pere and Guifré, who show their passion for what they do (and very well, by the way….).

This winery is amazing. Small but very welcoming and well organised. Excellent value for money for both the Cava and the wines. The owners are very professional and know how to convey their passion during the visit to the winery.

Greatness starts with something small, they say, and that is exactly what we found on this visit. A small wine cellar run by a father and son, where they will explain to you in a very friendly way their passion for the production of their products. The cava tasting was well planned with some sample products. The closeness they give off is appreciated, they make you feel like one of the family. Without a doubt, highly recommended.

What a fun, fun time! If you want to learn about making Cava in a friendly, laid back environment from a father/son (and mom!) who are passionate about their business, do this tour! You will laugh. You will eat well. You will drink a wide range of their products. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

This small family owned winery is a real gem. We did a tasting with tapas and we could not have had a better experience. We got to know about the winery and the family. We were not rushed and in fact spent much more than the allotted time there. The cavas were delicious and the honey (from one of their partners) was the best we have ever had. We look forward to returning with friends.

We had such a great time! Highly recommend to visit Sola Raventos! Our guide Guifré, was not only the guide, but son of the main winemaker and winemaker himself, so we got a very deep interesting story about how cava is made in general and how small family owned wineries like Sola Raventos are navigating in the world of cava next to worldwide known giants. We got to taste the wines and ordered 12-bottles case to be delivered to the States, delivery is included if you buy 12-bottles case, but the state tax is added afterwards. Highly recommend the entire experience :)

We stopped for a tasting. The welcome was very warm. The owner of the place took the time to explain his products to us, the history of their small business. Thank you for this beautiful moment!

Small, dedicated family business that we definitely recommend! We were able to book our visit to Cava Solà Raventós at short notice and Guifré gave us comprehensive and entertaining information about all the steps involved in the in-house Cava production. After the tour, we tasted 4 selected Cavas, which were accompanied by very tasty tapas prepared by Guifré's father. We were delighted by the friendly and relaxed atmosphere and of course by the quality of the products. We would love to come back again!

The visit was a highly recommended experience. Even if you visit other wine cellars, I think you shouldn't miss this one. Guifré and his father will explain the whole process to you in as much detail as you want. In my case, I am very curious and they answered all my questions with great transparency. We were 2 people, that day there were no other people and despite this they dedicated all the time in the world to us. The tasting at the end was very good. The cava was of a very high standard and the food too.

Absolutely wonderful experience! A tour dedicated to us, informative an inspiring. Followed by a splendid tasting. We'll always remember the hospitality, passion and professionalism of this family! P.S. If you're planning to visit by train from Barcelona, do give yourself plenty of extra time because the trains can be severely delayed. We were not lucky, were delayed by 1.5 hours on our way to Sant Sadurni and even more on our way back! Luckily, I'm a realist so we left Barcelona "early" and just about made it on time. I've read there are also buses you can take, may be a better option.

A first-class experience. The owners take their time, even for small groups, and create highlights during the tour and tasting, such as special chocolates and plenty of tapas. Highly recommended. We sensed that they love their craft.

Wonderful discovery of the family cellar. An incredibly interesting and passionate visit, during which we learn the current and period processes, followed by a more than delicious tasting of Cavas... It was extremely interesting to get to know this small but fine Cava winery. It is run by father and son, who not only explained to us very competently but also very sympathetically all the steps involved in making a good Cava. At the end of the Cava tasting, we were served some very tasty snacks to eat. We liked the Cava so much that we had to buy several bottles. Thank you very much Pere and Guifre!

A really great Cava! Made with huge experience, family owned for over 30 years. Excellent hosts! Father and son are a great team. Only 80,000 bottles are produced. Many are sold out by the middle of the year! Thank you for the great experience Pere!!! Until next time
