A Blend of Tradition and Modernity in Catalonia
A Family Passionate About Wine
The Martin-Faixó family has a deep-rooted passion for winemaking, revitalizing a vineyard that has been part of their heritage for generations. In 2000, they embarked on a new chapter in the stunning Parc Natural de Cap de Creus, marking the beginning of their winemaking adventure. By 2007, they proudly launched their first wines. The Faixó lineage has traditionally focused on grape cultivation, while the Martín side was known for establishing the first restaurant in their town. Today, this new generation harmonizes both family traditions—vineyard and culinary arts—creating a unique experience at Celler Martín Faixó.
The Vineyard
Currently, Celler Martín Faixó spans 16 hectares, cultivating five grape varieties that thrive in the region: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Picapoll, and Muscat of Alexandria. This diverse selection allows them to produce wines that reflect the unique terroir of Catalonia.
Winery and Restaurant
Enoteca MF is the winery's restaurant, offering a menu that combines modern culinary techniques with traditional regional recipes. Guests can savor dishes inspired by international cuisines while enjoying the local flavors. With a spacious terrace overlooking Poal's beach, visitors can take in breathtaking views of Cadaqués' old town while sampling their exquisite wines and handcrafted beer.
