Celler Viníric

My personal favourite wine of Empordà, Celler Viniric. Absolutely delicious, with a wonderful selection of different wines. Beautiful logo & great design. The wine tasting is a excepcional experience, the gentleman that runs the tasting is amazing. He is very knowledgeable & passionate.

We enjoyed a fantastic tasting at Celler Viníric, led by Edu, who shared his passion for this world and a positive energy throughout the experience. If you're in the Calonge area (central Costa Brava), I recommend booking and savoring the variety of wines they offer, not to mention their olive oil, made from centuries-old olive trees. We went to a wine tasting this weekend with a German friend. We had a great time; we really enjoyed the explanation given by our guide, Eduard, I think, and we also tasted seven wines and olive oil with bread. Everything was excellent and close to our home in Calonge. Highly recommended.

A very pleasant and relaxing visit. Esther was very kind and helpful, even though she had four groups to manage alone. The winery's philosophy is clear and based on the simplicity of nature. Very interesting white wines with excellent value. Reds are still evolving.

We came here spontaneously and received a wonderfully warm welcome. We were lucky enough to be able to do a wine tasting without having made an appointment beforehand. We were even given a short tour of the winery. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and bought a few bottles of wine and olive oil to take home. Thank you so much for everything.

It was a delightful discovery! A spectacular tasting of seven wines where the quality steadily improved to its peak. The warm and friendly service made each wine experience even better. The tasting also included an impressive olive oil served with toast and a visit to the vineyards, despite the rain.

We visited the vineyard during our trip to the Costa Brava on July 6th. We enjoyed a wine tasting, cheese platter, and tour. We tasted seven wines, all surprising and delicious. The cheese platter was very diverse and accompanied by nuts, jams, and fruit—an excellent choice. We were greeted by a woman, Isabelle I believe. She was incredibly kind and gentle, never rushed anyone, and took the time to answer our questions thoroughly, making sure her answers were clear and easy to understand. We had a wonderful time. Later, during dinner at a restaurant in Barcelona, one of their wines was on the menu, and we didn't hesitate to choose it. Thank you!

We spent a wonderful late afternoon at Viniric's vineyard and tasting their wines. Isabel was brilliant and very clear in sharing the history of Viníric (a small producer struggling to resist the pressures of larger capital), the historical and geographical background of the area (Emporda Bassa), and she managed to explain everything to us in four languages, from English to Italian, including Catalan and Spanish. Isabel also showed us her favorite vineyard, where Viníric grows his Monastrell. A quiet place where the afternoon light cuts across the hillside behind. The young Vella Lola are very interesting (especially the white), but I recommend trying their Proposit: the white is bold and firm, the red Granaxa has a lot of personality, but it's their Monastrell red that stands out. Round and soft at first, yet complex and lingering after the first few seconds. A great wine. Thank you, Isabel (and Viniric), you've been very kind, and we'll be back soon.

We took the tour and tasting with a selection of cheeses. It was wonderful! Edu gave us a fantastic explanation of both the winery and the vineyards, which was not only very entertaining but also taught us to appreciate the great work that goes into making a bottle of wine. The cheese selection was excellent and well worth it. We also really enjoyed the wines, especially the Vella Lola white and the Incansables Monastrell. A visit that is definitely worthwhile if you love wine and everything related to this art.

Lovely setting and very good wines.

We received a very warm welcome and enjoyed a superb tasting of different wines offering excellent value for money. The owner clearly conveys his passion for his craft and his products. We had some very interesting conversations, as we are both in the wine industry in Burgundy (France). Thank you and best of luck for the future.

Lovely local winery with a small but good selection of different wines - all of which were very tasty while being very reasonably priced. We dropped in to visit the wine bar rather than doing a full tour as we have done many tours in the past. Still we were able to pay to taste the range of wines and buy platters of cheese and meats to go with our wines. The host (one of the two chief winemakers - Edu) was super knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. Highly recommended if you are passing by.

We were so lucky to experience this wine yard. We learned so much about the process of winemaking. The tour guide was so nice and knowledgeable. Fantastic tasting of beautiful wine yard. Bought 3 bottles of great wine to go ☺️ recommended!

A small winery near Calonge. We had a tour of the vineyard followed by a wine tasting. We were welcomed with a glass of Cava. During the walk around the vineyard, we learned a lot about the region and its viticulture, and during the subsequent tasting, we learned about the wines themselves. You can tell that the winemakers are passionate about their wines and put their heart and soul into their work. This passion is evident both in their delicious wines and in the visitors to their cellar. Overall, we took home a wonderful experience and a trunk full of wine.
