Château de la Greffière has been a wine estate since 1585 and has been in the Greuzard family since 1924. Over four generations, the family has cultivated the diverse terroirs surrounding the estate. Located in La Roche Vineuse, just 15 minutes from Mâcon, we pride ourselves on our rich winemaking heritage and a variety of wine tourism experiences.
Visit Our Historic Cellar and More
Our 60 hectares of vineyards span eight picturesque villages around La Roche Vineuse. The estate produces a range of white wines from the Chardonnay grape, showcasing the unique characteristics of the renowned terroirs in Mâcon La Roche Vineuse and Saint Véran. Additionally, we offer Aligoté, Pinot Noir, and Gamay wines, totaling 14 different varieties for tasting. Our cuvage, built in 1789, features a captivating vaulted cellar that reflects our long-standing winemaking tradition. The Vine and Wine Museum showcases over 2,000 historical tools from various trades, including carpentry and blacksmithing, celebrating the craftsmanship of the past.

We offer unique experiences such as a 2 km walking path through the vineyards, connecting our terroirs to our wines. Enjoy a picnic meal in the vineyards, featuring local specialties paired with our wines. Throughout the year, Château de la Greffière hosts themed events, including egg hunts, open houses, and harvest days, aimed at sharing our passion for winemaking and the beauty of our estate.
