Domaine Clotilde Davenne- Winery residing in the Chablis Wine Making region of France
The Domaine Clotilde Davenne is located in the Chablis wine making region of France and was established by Clotilde Davenne who group up in the local countryside. Clotilde’s childhood in Chablis has given her a true appreciation for the local land and the terroir of the area. The first of the vineyards is the Temps Perdus vineyard which was created in 1992 when Clotilde planted Chardonnay vines. Since then the estate has grown to cover 30 hectares of small plots of vines of different grape varietals spread over the villages of Sant Bris Chablis and Irancy.
Different Types of Wines
The Chablis range of Domaine Clotilde Davenne wines includes the Petit Chablis, the Chablis, the Chablis Old Vines, the Chablis 1er Cru Vauvoupin, the Chablis 1er Cru Montmains, the Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons, the Chablis Grand Cru Bougros and the Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos. The wonderful sparkling wines of the winery include the Cremant de Bourgogne White and the Rose Cremant de Bourgogne. The range of Domaine Clotilde Davennered and rose wines includes the Burgundy Rose Coets d’Auxerre, the Burgundy Red Cotes d’Auxerre and the Irancy.
Unique Grape Varieties
The Domaine Clotilde Davenne also produces wines from grape varietals grown in the surrounding areas including the Burgundy Alogote, the Aligote Old Vines, the Saint Bris, the Saint Bris Old Vines and the Burgundy Cotes d’Auxeree Vielles VIgnes Chardonnay.
These wines have won numerous local and international awards including the Nos Medailles d’Or Concours des Burgondia 2020, the Nos Medailles du Grand Auxerrois Automne 2019 and the Cave Prestie du BIVB 2017, 2018 and 2019.
