Preserving the Natural Environment and Making Natural Wines

The majority of their vines grow in Cote Chalonnaise but can also be found in Burgundy’s Cote de Nuits and Cote de Beaune. Almost all year, they work to protect the ecosystem and biodiversity of their vineyards. It allows us to preserve the natural environment and make natural wines with a fruity taste. They make use of spray treatments that fuel the soil’s fertilization and microbial systems.

Terroirs that give back to the Winery

The qualities of the terroir are allowed to shine by ageing the wines in casks and proper handling of the wine during production. Pinot Noir, Aligoté, Chardonnay are the main grapes that grow in their estate. Only the best grapes are handpicked and used to make their award-winning red, white, and sparkling wines. Guests are always welcome at their estate for a pleasant time.

Wonderful tour & tasting

A really personal tour and story of Maison Chanzy and their approach to wine-making across the three Burgundy regions, but focusing mostly on the Cote Chalonnaise - very informative for all of us, even the one who knows a lot about wine-making in Burgundy. It was followed by some excellent wines and much appreciated by all of us (except our teenager who is too young!), so thank you for your time and hospitality.
