The Domaine d’Ardhuy winery and estate is situated in Bourgogne, one of the worlds most famous French wine making regions. This winery and estate was established in 1947 following the meeting of two wine lovers – Gabriel d’Ardhuy and Eliane. This meeting took place during the wine harvest period in Burgundy and began a long and beautiful wine making relationship. Many years on, the pair acquired some of the most beautiful terroir n the Cote – d’Or.
Currently the Domaine d’Ardhuy covers 38 hectares producing 8 Grand Cru, 14 Premier Cru and 14 Village wines. The wines are all produced according to biodynamic principles and are pressed in an 18th century press. Following this they are aged in 17th century cellars. The wines produced on the estate are part of the Aloxe-Corton premier cru “Les Chaillots” Rouge, Aloxe-Corton “Les Boutières – Les Valozières” Rouge, Beaune premier cru “Champs Pimont” Rouge, Beaune premier cru “Petit Clos Blanc des Theurons” Blanc, Bourgogne Côte d’Or Rouge “Les Chagniots” and Côte de Bea wine classifications.
The grape varietals grown in the vineyards of Domaine d’Ardhuy are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. These groups are used to produce a range of the highest quality red and white wines that have won acclaim both locally and internationally. The most popular wines produced by the Domaine d’Ardhuy are the Domaine d’Ardhuy Aloxe Corton, the Domaine d’Ardhuy Clos Des, the Domaine d’Ardhuy Corton Grand Cru, the Domaine d’Ardhuy Gevrey, the Domaine d’Ardhuy Nuits Saint Georges and the Domaine d’Ardhuy Savigny.
