A Rich History of Wines
Founded in 1967, Raguenot Vineyards thrives today because of the pioneering and visionary minds of Lise and Philippe Raguenot.
In 1997, their two daughters, Emmanuelle and Marie-Pierre, associated with their respective husbands, Daren Miller and Eric Lallez, take over Château des Tourtes in the Blaye-Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. All four are changing careers, and with their different experiences and talents, each of them earn their diplomas in viticulture and oenology and step into the winemaking arena.
How it All Started
It’s 1998 that our four musketeers acquireChâteau Haut Beyzac in the Haut-Médoc appellation. With their skills, their motivation, and above all, their passion for the world of wine, they strive to gain a strong reputation at international levels through continued regularity in work ethic and impeccable quality. Their commitment to the winemaking profession has awarded them more than 100 medals over 25 years, and has them featured in numerous press articles each year.
A Winery That Produces High Quality Distinctive Wines
The Château des Tourtes have several medals in several competitions for their exquisite tastes. Their wines are openly praised for that peculiar hint of taste and aromas.

For years now, Château des Tourtes has not only been passionate about winemaking but preserving nature or working towards a sustainable future in this journey. Château des Tourtes has been certified with HVE level 3 which is the High Environmental Value (HVE) certification. It covers the following themes:

Fertilization Management
Water Resource Management
Besides this, Château des Tourtes also understands how important it is that bees be protected for the environment which is why they harvest the honey producers from the beehives around their property in symbolic quantities and fight against the disappearance of bees.

I met the daughter of the chateau. She is a very nice person. I haven’t tried their wine yet cuz it’s not available in California. But from her description, it must super nice.

Exceptional hospitality. It was a pleasure to be treated to a tour, dégustation and share in the passion this family has for their craft. The wine was excellent and offers full service sales and exporting.

I attended a yoga class in the castle's seminar room. The decoration and tasting were flawless. I discovered the "Tip Top", the non-alcoholic sparkling wine, which was very good. The yoga session combined with the atmosphere of the group, the place, the massage session and the tasting: top notch!

Wonderful day at the Raguenot winery: electric bike ride through the vineyards during the harvest, picnic, tasting workshop and blending workshop led by Anne-Sophie. It was great!

The welcome is wonderful, a family of enthusiasts introduced us to delicious wines with a very good quality/price ratio. The detour should be made without hesitation if you are in the south of Charente-Maritime and the north of Gironde, without any pretext ... An address that ranks among the best of our culinary stays in France.
