Chateau Fontesteau

We were spontaneous there, we could join a tour and tasting and we had very tasty wines. We really liked the concept.

Had a fantastic trip to Chateau Fontesteau. Quentin (the guide) was a lovely and informative host. We very much enjoyed our wine tasting and the lunch was brilliant. Would recommend for the price.

A must-see and taste. Beautiful organic vineyard at Château Fontesteau and its beautiful barrel cellar. An estate producing organic red wines. Try the visit, you won't be disappointed, the welcome is friendly, the estate is magnificent, the wines are excellent and the region is superb.

A pleasant visit with a very friendly guide, who answered our sometimes rather stupid questions. Patient, kind and very pleasant. I highly recommend visiting this magnificent place and above all leaving with beautiful gifts for friends. The nice lady, on the way out, advised us to go and buy some homemade ice cream, not far away. We listened to her, we did not regret it. Thanks to her. You cannot miss it, you will be surprised. Thank you, madam.

Visited today with my husband daughter and her partner. Well worth a visit was very interesting. The British girl that showed us around was brilliant. Tried the wine sampling which was lovely and bought a few bottles to take home. If you're in the area it's well worth a visit.

Had a great tour explaining on how the wine is produced with an English speaking guide. You do need to book in advance which is easy to do by clicking on the link on their Web site. Free tour and wine tasting all free of charge. Once we had a few samples we did buy some but you are advised after the samples you don't ha e to buy

A very nice student from GB showed us and explained the workflow of this organic winery in a mixture of German and French. The winery was only recently converted to organic. Our narrator proudly showed the first real organic wine (vintage 2022) that they produce here. It is not yet on the market, but will be soon. We wish the owners much success. 👍

This is a lovely, small, family-owned winery in the Bordeaux region. We enjoyed warm hospitality as we were given a tour of the ‘cave’ and the vats and crushing areas, etc. Lovely shaded grounds to sit with a picnic if you bring a snack. Great red wine – we bought some to enjoy on the rest of our vacation- and one nice white too!

Amazing nature surrounding the beautiful château and vineyards. It was great to see the commitment to organic viticulture! Excellent wines. Absolutely must visit ❤️.

Marion gave us a very pleasant tour and filled with interesting information; her commitment and experience give another dimension to the discovery of Bordeaux wines, especially the unique organic side of the operations! The vineyard is located on a beautiful property, easily accessible. The wine tasting was pleasant and unpretentious!

The château is definitely worth a visit. Great architecture, friendly welcome, a very good selection of their own wines from different vintages, which you can taste for free and without registration. You can buy the wine that tasted best straight away at a modern price.
