Celebrating the Heart of Bordeaux Wines
At Château L’Eperon, we cherish Bordeaux wine and are excited to share our “PASSION WHICH BRINGS FRIENDS TOGETHER.”
A Rich History
Legend has it that in 1810, the Duke of Chambord fell in love with the stunning landscape of this region and established his hunting estate here. He named it Château L’Éperon, inspired by the French word for a rooster’s spur, reflecting his passion for rooster fighting.
The rooster, a proud symbol of France, graces every bottle of wine produced at the Château, connecting our wines to the rich cultural heritage of the country.
Since 1830, Château L’Éperon has been a site of winemaking, and in 1981, it underwent a complete restoration when an English aristocrat made it his primary residence during his later years.
The Winery Today
In 2018, our vineyard achieved HV3 certification, recognizing its commitment to high ecological standards. In 2021, we, a group of close friends and family from various countries, purchased Château L’Éperon, marking a new chapter in its storied history. Our shared vision combines a unique location with a rich past and diverse international experience.

We spent 1 night in this area which is more than magnificent! The owner made us spend a very pleasant moment with a very interesting wine tasting, and the wine is good ground floor ☺️ Thank you very much for your welcome, we recommend 100%! We will come back!

We have just been in this magnificent house, everything is perfect, modern, tasteful, bathroom and toilet in every room. Olivier and Natacha are very nice. Thank you again for tasting your wines. Thank you again.

Wonderful spot for overnight in our campervan! Super clean shower and toilet. Would recommend trying the wines too! We arrived quite late so just let Olivier know and paid in the morning (20€).

Very nice and personal wine tasting experience from hosts Olivier and Natalia. The wines were delicious and fresh crusty bread and cheese was provided. The tour of the vineyard and the wine making facilities was very interesting and informative. Great discussion about how different grapes are blended based on the harvest to produce different wines and also the challenges of building a brand and reputation within the industry. We had small kids with us and they were provided with fruit drinks and colouring activities, so it's also an ideal wine tasting experience if you have kids in tow :)

We had the pleasure of being the first guests at the newly built, first-class motorhome parking space at Chateau L'Eperon! Comprehensive wine tasting with very friendly hosts Natalie and Olivier. Excellent wines! Great chateau in magical surroundings. We would love to come back.

I don't usually rate the castles we visit, I don't have the reflex in any case but I wanted to share our experience with potential visitors. We went to the castle for a visit and a tasting and it went wonderfully well. Olivier and his partner made us spend a real moment of sharing and conviviality around very nice wine :) So thank you to them for this moment of sharing, and above all go there with your eyes closed, you will be welcomed in a magnificent domain, with kindness and passion for the profession.
