Château La Brande and Its Terroir

Château La Brande is nestled in the picturesque Saillans region of Gironde, France. Founded in 1730, this winery has been dedicated to organic viticulture since 2012, producing exceptional wines in the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux area. The estate's vineyards, situated on south-facing hills, benefit from a diverse terroir that contributes to the rich flavors and aromas found in their wines. Notably, Château La Brande was awarded the prestigious Gold Medal at the Concours General Agricole de Paris in 1906.

Biodynamic Practices with a Traditional Touch

Spanning 18 hectares of clay-limestone soils, Château La Brande's vineyards include 7 hectares classified as AOP Fronsac and the remainder as AOP Bordeaux Superior. The winery produces a variety of grapes, including Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Sémillon, and Sauvignon Gris, harvested either manually or mechanically based on the wine type. By employing biodynamic techniques and avoiding sulfur during vinification, Château La Brande ensures that only the finest, perfectly ripe fruit is used in their handcrafted wines.

Passion Reflected in Every Bottle

At Château La Brande, winemaking is a labor of love. The winery ages its Fronsac wines using two distinct methods to cater to different palates: 18 months in vats or 24 months in oak barrels. In 2020, they embraced innovative techniques by incorporating amphorae into their winemaking process. The winery specializes in organic white wines aged on lees in oak barrels, refreshing rosés, Crémant Blancs Bruts, and robust red wines, each showcasing the passion and dedication of the family behind the label.
