L’Olibaou- Beautiful Winery in the foot of the Famous Mountain Sainte-Victoire
Located in the Aix-en-Provence countryside, in the very heart of Provence, France, the winery lies at the foot of the famous mountain Sainte-Victoire. L’Olibaou makes wine but also olive oil, on an idyllic clay-limestone terroir facing full south.
Owners’ love for the Estate
In February 2003 Henri Doglione fell madly in love with these lands located in Venelles, and was finally able to realize his childhood dream to produce his wine. A few months later, Mr. Doglione called on Dominique Soriano, so that he could create the wine estate and share his know-how with him. And since then, these two have never left each other. Today the estate has 9.5 hectares of vines and 2.9 hectares of organic olive oil.
Winery practicing Certified Organic Farming
From the cultivation of trees to the processing of fruit, all the products offered by the Domaine de l’Olibaou come from certified organic farming and even have been awarded several times. An additional guarantee of quality is that the harvest is done by hand in the purest olive and wine tradition, ensuring a meticulous selection of the grains used. Their wines are made from organically grown hand-picked grapes. From this clay-limestone soil bathed in sunshine, the Soriano family has chosen to produce artisanal and natural wines (white, rosé, red) and olive oil.
The wines are produced under IGP Méditerranée labels.
The grape varieties that are cultivated in the clay-limestone soil at the Olibaou vineyards are Vermentino, Syrah, Grenache, Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet-Franc, etc. These grapes are used to produce excellent red, white, and rose wines.
