Discover Titolo World and Old Vintage
Explore vineyards and cellars during the visit, and savor a tasting in the panoramic-view tasting room
In 2000, after long discussions about the future of a vineyard and a family, the son of the Generoso family decided to change his life and devote it to looking after the vineyards with his parents. A sacrifice to save the vines bought by his grandfather in the 1960s and an estate on which he has been lucky enough to live all his life. The production at that time was entirely handmade, which is not a relaxing experience. This magnificent estate is located in Italy, in Contrada Solagna del Titolo at the foot of Monte Vulture. The Monte Vulture is an extinct volcano at an altitude of 1,326 metres and gives its name to a wine region that is known throughout the world for its red wine “Aglianico del Vulture”.
This family estate with a touching history has taken an important turn by choosing to produce only one type of wine, “Titolo”. We can ask ourselves why, in fact this denomination and this single wine allows the wine a distinction of grand cru and a single wine to best represent the specificity of Aglianico. This single wine best represents the terroir and microclimate from which it is made, and has been complimented on many occasions for this.
The estate is situated at an altitude of over 600 meters and is characterized by Monte Vulture, which shaped the soil when it was still active, leaving a very mineral and dark soil that gives a particular aspect to the vineyard.
The care given to the vines is exceptional, they do not do viticulture but “gardening”. The cycle of the vine is respected, they do not use any chemical products, the vines are held by brooms which have been dried by the family themselves. All this effort is worth it when you see the result in the wine, an exquisite effort for a wine that is all the more exceptional.

Aglianico Del Vulture
Signora Fucci guided us around herself! She is someone who is deeply influenced by the traditions of the Vulture region, but also experimenting in interesting ways with production, such as her wines produced in clay amphora. We learned a lot from her about the soil and climate of the region. She is proud of her work, and no wonder. The wines we tasted are delicious with the promise of great things with some years of aging. She gave us the name of a distributor in our home state - we will certainly be looking for some bottles. As a bonus, we tasted her olive oil (yummy) and a wine from a vineyard she is now managing (Sceg). But there is no 'hard sell' of individual bottles at this winery, we left unclear as to whether she was set up to sell to small groups. This was quite pleasant.
