Elgin Vintners; Making Wines since 2003

Elgin Vintners is based in the unique, terroir cool-climate Elgin Valley, located near the cold Atlantic ocean. Elgin Valley is 500 to 900 m above sea level and surrounded by the Kogelberg, Hottentots Holland, and Groenland mountain ranges. We started making wine in 2003. Our 45 hectares of vineyards are established on previously aged apple orchards. Our main cultivars are Pinot Noir Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc. We also have Merlot and Syrah. We believe in sustainability on all fronts, in our business, vineyards, and our people. Our wines continually receive numerous high-profile globally-renowned accolades and outstanding reviews from reputable wine critics. Elgin Vintners wines show exceptional poise, finesse, and elegance.

What a fabulous breakaway. Staff was wonderful, breakfast fantastic. Very welcoming and accommodating. Thank you Megan, you made this a great experience. Thank you for sharing the history of the manor house with me Gus. Best Chardonnay I have had in a long time. I will be back. Don't trust Google on directions here.

The pizzas were delicious; we were practically alone here. It was very intimate and looked like a private wine cellar. The Sauvignon Blanc was super delicious.

Did a weekend stay in the guest house with my wife and we had an amazing time! The pizzas and wine are incredible and the guest house has everything you need - very cosy and well located. The farm is also beautiful to walk around. What truly takes Elgin Vintners from a great weekend away to an incredible one, are the staff. Professional, friendly, happy and all around just warm and caring people. Really impressed and will definitely be back.

Only came here for wine tasting. Wines above average and price but the Pinot Noir is definitely worth a taste and it's their flagship. The venue and estate is peaceful and tucked into a secluded valley which is a perfect venue for weddings, functions and R&R.
