Empordàlia Winery, Traditions Passed Down from Generation to Genertaion
Empordàlia Winery is a cooperative wine estate made up of small producers from Empordà, working on this land for many generations. The families handle their wineries, vineyards, and olive groves just as their great-grandparents and grandparents taught them. There is respect for the land, value for their traditions, and plans to keep it going for their future generations.
Wines that Reflect the Characteristics of the Empordà Region
Empordàlia Winery is committed to making excellent wines through the combination of culture and modern technology. The Roses, Vilajuiga, and Pau are the three cooperatives that make up the Empordà region. The history of the estate goes back to 1947 with the creation of Vilajuiga. All three cooperatives worked to make high-quality wines that reflect the characteristics of Empordà.
Empordàlia – Producer of Unique Wines and Olive Oil
Apart from wines, Empordàlia has also been making olive oil for many years. Every day, the staff produce quality products for their customers from their partners’ grapes and olives. They grow these fruits in the best conditions, and with great passion and skill, they are turned into wines and olive oil. The main grape varieties grown include Grenache, Carignan, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Moscatel, and Macabeu. The best grapes are handpicked and used to make their high-quality red, white, rosé, sparkling, dessert, and fortified wines.
The wines have a characteristic taste and aroma that reflect the qualities and features of the unique Emporda terroir and the winemakers’ hard work and commitment.
