Flat Rocks Cellar was established in 1999 on the spectacular Jordan Beach part of Niagara Escarpment. It is camped on a rolling hill surrounded by vineyards. One will see stunning views of the Peninsula across Lake Ontario to Toronto. You can taste wines here as well as undertake wine education programs. The winery works on two basic principles, making good wine and giving a personal and unique experience to all guests and visitors.

Top conditions for viticulture

The estate makes use of adequate soil and nice climatic conditions on Twenty Mile Bench for vine cultivation. The amazing topography and natural scenery are reminiscent of famous Burgundy vineyards. Mostly, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Grow here, but a small land is dedicated to Gewurztraminer. These grape varieties are perfect for winemaking here as the cool climate of the Niagara peninsula enhances and develop the vines perfectly. Handpicking of grapes, progressive viticulture, and low yields are fundamentals of their sustainable winemaking ideology.

Sustainable winery

The winery is a glass-encased, hexagonal structure with breathtaking views. Gravity-flow design is used along with latest winemaking equipment. Proven techniques are combined with modern processes and equipment to create natural organic wines. Fermentation takes place using elaborate techniques after which wines are aged for a certain period.
