Georg Breuer, Charming Winemaking in the Renowned Rheingau Region

Nestled amongst the appealing Rüdesheim vineyards, Georg Breuer Winery is located in the world renowned winegrowing region of Rheingau. Each wine selection expresses the essence of the fertile soils and unique microclimatic conditions in which they are produced.

Georg Breuer Winery’s origins date back to 1880 when wine production was originally established.

The 20th Century and the Purchase by the Breuer Family

Georg Breuer was originally a part of a wine merchant company when the estate was established in 1880. In the early 20th century, the vineyards were acquired by the Breuer Family. With complete dedication and love for wine, the owner expanded the winery and made their wines internationally recognized by exporting worldwide. Later, Georg’s sons, Bernhard and Heinrich, purchased more land and extended the winery’s grape growing throughout the finest winegrowing areas of Rüdesheim and Rauenthal.

Today, Bernhard’s daughter, Theresa, owns the estate and manages all vineyard and cellar operations. After her father’s death in 2004, along with production manager, Hermann, and winemaker, Markus, the incredible team of three have continued to uphold the high standards of the winery creating exquisite Rheingau wines adored the world over.

Pinot Noir and Riesling Throughout 34 Hectares

Theresa mainly focuses on two prime grapes varieties. She grows high-quality Riesling and Pinot Noir in the vineyards, stretched over an area of 34 hectares 27 of which are in Rüdesheim and seven hectares in Rauenthal. Some other types of vines Theresa cultivates on the steep slopes of Rheingau include high-quality Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Orléans, and Heunisch. The winery also consists of a well-furnished tasting room where guests are wholeheartedly invited for tastings, relaxation, board games, or a vineyard tour.
