Located in Hattenheim, Weingut Georg Müller Stiftung is a distinguished winery in the renowned Rheingau wine-growing region. As a proud member of the German Prädikat and Quality Wineries Association (VDP), this winery has a rich history dating back to the late 19th century, founded by Georg Müller. The winery is dedicated to enhancing wine quality at every stage, prioritizing the protection of grapes in both the vineyard and the winemaking process. By allowing grapes to follow their natural path, the winery intervenes only when necessary to ensure the best possible outcome.

Vineyards Tailored for Excellence

Spanning 20.8 acres, the vineyard features vines that are, on average, over 25 years old and has been recognized as a First Growth vineyard since the 2007 vintage. This classification highlights the exceptional quality of the land, which produces unique and characterful wines. The estate showcases prime locations in Hattenheim, Hallgarten, Oestrich, and Assmannshausen. Riesling dominates the vineyard, making up over 80% of the grape varieties, while Pinot Noir and Spätburgunder each contribute around 10%. The remaining grapes include Müller-Thurgau, Ehrenfelser, and Auxerrois. The Georg Müller Foundation adheres to ecologically responsible practices, ensuring sustainable viticulture.

Commitment to Quality in Every Bottle

At Weingut Georg Müller Stiftung, the belief is that exceptional wines stem from meticulous vineyard management, focusing on biodiversity, nutrient-rich soils, and natural balance. Hand-tended vines yield ripe, aromatic grapes, resulting in wines that are memorable for their character and complexity. The winery combines traditional and modern techniques to produce high-quality wines while respecting the environment and local culture. Each bottle reflects a commitment to excellence and a deep connection to the land.

We booked an art and wine tour through an external provider, unfortunately the winery did not know the date. Despite this, the employees responded excellently and we had a wonderful wine tasting with a very special tour! Very worth seeing, definitely worth a visit!

I happened to be staying in Hattenheim at a lodging around the corner and I was fortunate enough to get an education from Daniel about his family’s fantastic wine! He was gracious enough to let me try multiple wines and by the time I departed (with a couple of bottles of course) I felt like I had a new knowledge of the wine region. His family acquired the winery from the town after the village ran it as a non-profit and I think it is in great hands! Multiple visitors also came to view the art gallery which is also on-site. You can tell they care about the wine as well as their community. They are also VDP producers which further enhances their drive for quality. Sometimes serendipity leads to fantastic experiences indeed!

We were at the winery attracted by the KRFM cultural program. Finally the opportunity to explore the art cellar. A great idea and exciting experience. The sound collage from the Azores with 3D effect was surprisingly beautiful. Of course we also tried the wines that were interested. The tasting was informative and the lady responded to our special requests. We really liked it. Art, culture and wine go well together. Gladly again 😊. The "Swedish" summer, the red Riesling and autumn, the old vines were very pleasant. In addition to the classic Riesling, there are also surprises. Fresh and with less acid 😋. Best regards

Very nice winery. We had a very well organized wine hike through the vineyards. Mr. Winter, the owner of the winery, guided us personally and ensured a perfect day for our entire team. Great wines are available in the in-house wine shop on site. There was also a very tasty buffet at the end of the hike through the vineyards. The location is easily accessible. There are enough parking spaces available. Event event or just to enjoy wine. Mr. Winter makes it possible. Top recommendation!!!
