Gillmore Winery, Crafting Unique Wines in the Loncomilla Valley
Gillmore Winery is a family estate, founded in 1990 by Francisco Gillmore. In a joint venture with his daughter Daniella and son-in-law, Andres Sanchez, they have developed the project to give the Gilmore wines a distinct character. The Loncomilla Valley, where the Gillmore Winery is located, resides in the Maule Valley’s coastal dry area. The winery is a unique place, surrounded by native trees and Chilean animals and wildlife.
The Winery’s Philosophy
The philosophy at Gillmore Winery is to produce the highest quality wines in the Loncomilla Valley, wines that exceed expectations, and open the mind to Chilean wine’s true potential. The concentrated aromas and flavors of these wines are readily appreciated for an extensive array of wine drinkers.
Outstanding grapes are at the heart of all great wines. Gillmore Winery focuses on its Tabontinaja vineyards, all of which are cared for and harvested exclusively by hand. They are committed to this slower and more skilled production style.
Finest Wines with the Range of Grape Varieties
Gillmore Winery grows a range of varietals in the Tabontinaja vineyards, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, Carignan, Malbec, and Syrah. These are all grafted onto century-old mission vine rootstock, which contributes significantly to the character and terroir. The winemakers at the winery take care to study harvest and ferment each variety individually to develop and create the finest wines.
