Located in the heart of Rutherford, Honig Vineyard and Winery is a family-owned gem that prides itself on sustainable practices and solar energy. Winemaker Kristin Belair specializes in Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, two varietals that flourish in the unique terroir of Rutherford.
Since acquiring the vineyard in 1964 and producing our first wine in 1980, our family has dedicated itself to crafting exceptional wines. In 2006, we opened our tasting room, providing a welcoming space for wine enthusiasts to savor our offerings. Our focus on Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc reflects our commitment to quality and the ideal growing conditions of our vineyard.
For nearly 30 years, we have prioritized environmentally responsible practices. Our vineyard and winery are certified sustainable, and we harness solar energy to power our operations. We believe in preserving our planet's resources for future generations. Our certifications from Napa Green and the California Sustainable Winegrowing Association highlight our dedication to sustainability, which is woven into every aspect of our vineyard, winery, and business.

We are wine members of Honig and have loved coming here with our friends in town, relatives from the east coast, as well as with our son. The wine membership is reasonable and the vineyard itself is both classy while also being child friendly. Cannot recommend it enough. Shout out especially to Rapha and Laurie for their hospitality and professionalism.

Connected with Ron Young, the wine host. Outstanding service and knowledge. My wife and I will return soon and join as members. The wine is exceptional and the environment, views, and feel is in the top 5 wineries we've visited. Thank you for a great experience and we love the bees too!

Had a great experience here, we went on a Sunday I called in before hand and Debbie kindly reserved a table for my group. None of us have ever done this before and we’re not wine people at all, but it was a nice experience at $40 pp, we had actually gone to Frogs first but they were fully booked so it was great that it worked out, our host was knowledgeable and great! I would recommend!

We had such an amazing time here. Everyone is so nice, Edgar was our host for the wine tasting and he made the experience even more fascinating. We didn’t book in advance, but got lucky for an opening and Debbie was so nice and accommodating.
