Experience Wine Tasting at Table d'Hôtes in Burgundy
A Winery Nestled Among Vineyards and Nature
La Table de Pierre Bourée is located in Gevrey-Chambertin, a charming area in the heart of the Burgundy wine region. This winery is celebrated for its exceptional red, white, and sparkling wines, all crafted from grapes grown on their estate.
A Rich Heritage Since the 19th Century
The history of Pierre Bourée Winery began in 1864 when Pierre Bourée took ownership and named it after himself. In 1903, he expanded the winery by acquiring a walled vineyard near Dijon-Lyon, known as ‘Justice.’ His son, Bernard, took over in 1922 and purchased a parcel of Grand Cru vines in Charmes-Chambertin. In 1945, Bernard’s nephew and his brother François modernized the winery and expanded its reach beyond Europe. Today, Jean-Christophe manages the winery, continuing the family legacy.
Traditional Winemaking at La Table de Pierre Bourée
Over the past decade, the estate has cultivated around 40 appellations across Côte de Nuits, Côtes de Beaune, and Chablisien. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully transported to the cellar in boxes for pressing. The winery focuses on three grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Beurot. Red wines are aged in wooden barrels for two years, while whites mature for 14 to 16 months before bottling. Visitors can learn more about the winemaking process during a guided tour of the Pierre Bourée winery.
