Enjoy the Unique Formula of the Winery – The Wine Tasting at Table d'Hôtes

A Winery Surrounded by Vineyards, Wood, and Aromas

The Pierre Bourée Winery headquarter is located in Gevrey-Chambertin, among the picturesque landscapes of the Bourgogne wine region. The company is well-known for its red, white, and sparkling wines, made from estate-owned grapes.

A Story Started in the Mid-19th Century

In 1864, Pierre Bourée took over the ancient winery and gave it his name. He then expanded his winery by acquiring an area enclosed by walls on the eastern edge of Dijon-Lyon, at a place called ‘Justice’ in 1903. In 1922, Pierre’s son, Bernard, succeeded him and bought a parcel of Grand Cru vines: Charmes-Chambertin. Later in 1945, Bernard’s nephew took charge of the business, accompanied by his sibling, François. Together, they brought revolutionary changes to the cellar and the winery and managed to extend the family business outside Europe. Today, Jean-Christophe is handling all the functions of Pierre Bourée after the retirement of his brother, Bernard.

Traditional Breeding at La Table de Pierre Bourée

Over ten years, the Pierre Bourée estate has established an array of about 40 appellations in Côte de Nuits, Côtes de Beaune, and the Chablisien. The harvest is done manually on these terroirs, and the berries are moved to the cellar carefully in boxes for pressing. With respect to nature, the company grows three grape varieties, namely Pinot noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Beurot. They keep their reds in the wooden barrels for two years and whites for around 14 to 16 months before bottling. Learn more about the Pierre Bourée winery during a guided visit.
