Château de Chamilly is located in the heart of a small, green valley in the north of Côte Chalonnaise, a subregion in Burgundy. The vineyard area of the winery is around 26 hectares in Mercurey, Côte Chalonnaise, and Montagny. Perfection is the main aim of the family that run Château de Chamilly. The vineyards range in age from 25 to 80 years old with soils of limestone and clay. The winemaking process at Château de Chamilly is done all natural with no use of herbicides or fertilizers. The focus of winemaking is on red wines from Mercurey and white wine production from Montagny. Château de Chamilly also works on the vinification of purchased grapes from Corton Grand Cru. The wines at Château de Chamilly each have their own identity with the purpose of alllowing the vineyards to fully express the terroir and the individual aromas and flavors they produce.
