Mas Comtal is a historic winery located in the heart of Penedès, Catalonia, with a rich family heritage dating back to 1355. This charming estate spans 40 hectares of organically cultivated vineyards, nestled at the foot of the Garraf mountains. Positioned at an elevation of 350 meters above sea level, the winery benefits from unique Quaternary soils composed of sand, silt, and clay, which are highly calcareous and allow for excellent water drainage.

Very special, unique and different wines. The farmhouse is very old and perfectly maintained. The visit was more than pleasant. We learned a lot and Marta is an attentive, very professional and kind guide. We felt at home. Lovely place and family!!!

Very knowledgable host. Got to see how they cultivate organic grapes. Tried a very good sparkling wine to start with and 3 others. All were good. The 2017 merlot was excellent.

This is a wonderful family run vineyard that you must visit. They have a phenomenal property & view across the countryside, and the family are so welcoming to all the guests. We drink their fantastic wine all year round.
