Mauro Sebaste, a Dedication to Unique Quality Wines
The Mauro Sebaste Winery is situated in the foothills of Langhe, nearby Alba in the Piedmont region. The winery, which is characterized by the wine passion of its owner Mauro Sebatses, is committed to the production of unique quality wines. The vineyards of Mauro Sebaste expand over various communes and cover an area of 30 hectares both in property and in renting. These include the areas of Alba, Serralunga, Barolo, La Morra, Verduno, Vinchio, Diano d’Alba, Montelupo, Mango, Piobesi d’Alba and Vezza d’Alba.
The Lady of the Langhe
Mauro’s mother, Sylla, was one of the first woman winemakers in the 1960s, known as the “Lady of the Langhe.” After her untimely death, her son, Mauro left the family business and relaunched his own company. Mauro, along with his wife Maria Teresa and support of in-laws, found the Mauro Sebaste winery. He inherited the philosophy of “Wine as a Project” and love for his territory from his mother Sylla. Presently, his daughters Sylla and Angelica also help him to run the family business. The Sebaste Family personally takes care of the vineyards and controls the quality of the soil and environmental exposure.
