The Lady of the Langhe

Mauro’s mother, Sylla, was one of the first woman winemakers in the 60s, known as the “Lady of the Langhe.” After her untimely death, her son, Mauro left the family business and relaunched his own company. Mauro, along with his wife Maria Teresa and support of in-laws, found the Mauro Sebaste winery. He inherited the philosophy of “Wine as a Project” and love for his territory from his mother Sylla. Presently, his daughters Sylla and Angelica also help him to run the family business. The Sebaste Family personally takes care of the vineyards and controls the quality of the soil and environmental exposure.
