At Ostatu, we make our wines with a clear understanding that great wine begins in the vineyard, in plots tended generation after generation, and is interpreted today through a contemporary approach that respects that identity.
Our way of working is rooted in caring for the vines, observing each vintage and guiding the process without forcing it. We farm organically by conviction, not by trend, and we aim for each wine to honestly reflect where it comes from.
Everything starts in the soil: in how it is cared for, how each year is understood, and in accepting that no two vintages are ever the same. This respect for origin is what gives meaning to every wine and defines who we are.

I had the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable experience at Bodega Ostatu, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa. The closeness and warmth of the entire family that runs the winery made us feel at home from the first moment. The apartment we stayed in was simply spectacular. With a carefully crafted design, high quality amenities and a cozy atmosphere, it turned out to be the perfect place to disconnect and immerse ourselves in the charm of the vineyards. The wine tasting was another highlight of our visit. Each wine reflected the passion and care with which they work the land and the grapes. The detailed and accurate explanation during the tasting allowed us to better understand the process. Without a doubt, this experience stole our hearts. The combination of exceptional accommodation, high quality wines and the proximity to the family make recommending this winery almost a must for those who want to experience the essence of Rioja Alavesa. We will be back without a doubt! 🍷❤️

A wonderful tasting! Thank you for the guided tasting with appetizers! One note is that we visited two wineries. The tour and wines were of similar quality, but we found these wines priced quite a bit more - not expensive but not a tremendous value.
