Querce Bettina, named after a Tuscan legend, is a charming family-owned winery nestled on the scenic slopes of Montalcino, Tuscany. The name pays homage to an old lady who spun wool under an oak tree (Querce) while sharing enchanting tales with young shepherds. This boutique winery is dedicated to producing limited quantities of high-quality wines, ensuring the preservation of local winemaking traditions. Located at an altitude of 440 meters above sea level, Querce Bettina offers a unique terroir that enhances the character of its wines.

Winery Vision and History

Founded in 1990 by a passionate husband and wife team, Querce Bettina began its winemaking journey after extensive research into the local terrain. In 1999, they planted 2.4 hectares of Sangiovese grapes, aiming to create two exceptional wines: Rosso di Montalcino DOC and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG. Their vision came to fruition in 2009, and since then, they have expanded their offerings to include limited releases of Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG and IGT Toscana.

Organic Winemaking Practices

Querce Bettina is committed to organic winemaking, producing around 15,000 bottles annually from grapes grown in their own vineyards. The winery's production process is fully integrated, ensuring that every bottle reflects the essence of the land and its traditions. Querce Bettina wines are known for their remarkable aging potential, allowing them to evolve beautifully over time.

In addition to wine, Querce Bettina is renowned for its high-quality olive oil, further showcasing the richness of the Tuscan landscape.

For years, Querce Bettina has collaborated with the Italian association ‘Vino e Salute,’ promoting the health benefits of a Mediterranean diet complemented by fine red wine.
