SIPOS Borház

We spent 6 days and 5 nights here. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The accommodation is not crowded, the view of Lake Balaton and Badacsony is great!!! The rooms are absolutely adequate, but if you are looking for a 4-5 star hotel at the price of a pension, you are not living in this world. Due to the special nature of the place, you have to expect a lot of walking and hiking. The wines are very tasty, the breakfast is plentiful and varied, you don't need more than that. In the evenings, party noises sometimes break the silence, but since this is also a wine bar, you don't have to be surprised!!! We had a good time, it is an excellent choice for the price. And again: the friendliness of the staff and the panorama won everything!!!

An excellent facility run with a lot of passion and friendliness, where you can really relax.

If you are on your way to Badacsonyörs, you should definitely stop by here. Friendly service, wonderful views, fine wines and the very first and very tasty Ginje Castle on Lake Balaton. I can only recommend it to everyone.

The secret basement is a fantastic place, even if you can see that it is rarely cleaned. :-) Well, I'm not kidding, because in the end Mr. Lawyer will have a lawsuit hanging around my neck. The food, drinks and hospitality are top notch, the rooms are fine, but the mattress squeaks a lot. You're afraid to move on it, especially if you're not sleeping alone.

Everything was as good as it could be. Divine wines, delicious appetizers on the cold plate and a fantastic selection of homemade cakes. Every element of the secret cellar was fascinating and extremely personal. We would like to thank Evelin and Balázs, the owners of Sipos Borház, for the experience! We will be back.

Last week we were walking around the area and then stopped at this lovely Borház. It was 1pm in the afternoon, they didn't open until 4pm, but they welcomed us. We asked for 1-2 bottles of good wine and sat down at a table. Next to us, a nice lady made coffee and offered us almost immediately, which was already very nice, it showed that she was hospitable. Then came the surprise... the owner appeared! Tihamer! He asked us if we would like to harvest with them in the afternoon, about 2 hours. At first it was a complete surprise that we would go to the harvest dressed up, but we did it. It's worth it! A very cheerful team gathers for the harvest, we got the garden shears and head to the curls. In the meantime, the refreshing splashes came between the lines :) At the end, of course, they took us back to the wine house, where we also got a free lunch. So keep it up, Sipos, I hope to see you next year!

Fantastic ambience and hospitality, magnificent views!

This is an old winemaker’s house, situated just on top of Lake Balaton. The view is stunning, the rooms are great (and have a/c) and there are two terraces you can use for sunbathing. The wine cellar downstairs is really cool, and of course they serve their own wine too.
