The Cellars at Vina Bržan

The stone-built cellar with the typical Istrian courtyard is a constituent part of the homestead, which is situated in the hamlet Burji, on the very top of the Marezige hill, from where visitors can enjoy a magnificent view of the Gulf of Koper and the wider surroundings all the way to Triglav. Refošk and Cipro mature in wooden oak barrels while for the purpose of cellaring and maturing of Malvazija stainless steel wine tanks are used.

Vineyards for Exquisite wines

The winery has three plots cultivating grapes for their premium wines. The oldest of them contains vines over 150 years old. This shows that their ancestors knew how important location was for the vine and the right location needs to have the correct inclination, structure of the soil, and exposure to the sun to become the perfect home for this plant. In the continuation of the story of Lunčavec, in 1995 they planted grafts, which were grown in the vineyard especially using grafts of 150-year-old Refoška ""Raška rosa"" vines. The youngest of their vineyards was set up in 2012, on top of Marežgan hill, directly exposed to the influence of the sea, sun, and winds. All this is reflected in the special and first-class quality of grapes.
