Award-winning wines of Strologo Sivano
Strologo Sivano winery was started in 1960 by Giulio Sivano in Ancona county’s Camerano, and he was one of the founding members of the Rosso Conero DOC protection consortium. His son, Sivano, took over the winery, along with his wife, Catia Schiarolli. He renewed the fermentation techniques and launched a label of refined, high-quality wines. For more than fifty years, the winery has been making the best wines in Marche and win awards and honors every year.
Favourable soil and microclimate
The winery is located between the hills and the sea and has a favourable microclimate because of the proximity to the sea and the hills. The soil also varies from clayey to calcareous here. These conditions allow the cultivation of vines and the growth of high-quality, fruity grapes for making top-class wines. 11 hectares of vineyards are adjacent to Mount Conero while 4 are on its slopes. Incrocio Bruni 54 and Montepulciano are the main grape varietals grown in their vineyards and used to make red, white, rose, and sparkling wines.
Modern winery with the latest technology
The winery is equipped with the latest technology required for pre and post-fermentation of wines. Stainless steel tanks are used at controlled temperatures for the process. Small wooden barrels are used for the ageing of red wines to get the desired aroma and structure. The Rosso Conero DOC wines truly reflect the rich terroir here. Wine lovers are welcome all year at the estate for a great experience.
